This game reminds me of hand shadow puppet!

This ideal is inspired from Clarissa, the blogger of Muchkins and Moms. However, I made the activity catered towards the older adults by using daily items instead. This activity is great for the following skills:
1) Language Expression
This activity gives opportunities for participants to identify and name the objects. Therefore, this activity is great for patients with Broca's aphasia or expressive aphaisa, who have difficulty saying the words they want to say.
2) Visual Perception:
Although this items asks the participants to match the outline of the item to the actual item, this activity requires a lot of visual perception skills, which include:
Visual closure: Identification of forms from incomplete presentation
Visual Discrimination, specifically:
Object vision: Identifies color, texture, shape, and size
Matching: Note similarities in visual stimuli
3) Problem-solving
I embedded some problems in this activity: There are two different shapes for 1 bottle: The patient has to recognize that to complete the puzzle, they have to screw the cap off from the bottle, and put the cap on the circle, and the bottle on the square.

A plastic cup would be fun too because the bottom and the opening of the plastic cup have completely different size.

What you will need:
Color paper
Items to make silhouettes for: Coins, bottles, spoon, and etc.
Marker
Steps:
1) Get a color paper (I prefer high contrast colors between the item and the color paper.)
2) use a maker to make silhouettes!

Ta-da! There you go!
If you are designing this activity for children, I think the fun Japanese erasers and the animal models will be great for making the outlines.
